By Guillermo:

Push start to get it going just like an electric scooter does. After that is smooth riding. The bike itself feels solid and sturdy. My concern is with the charging port, same as on My 1st Electric Scooter. It isn’t positioned or protected properly and allows for dirt and moisture which I suspect will be an issue in no time.

By Craig:

Easy to use with minimal assembly needed. It’s just like a balance bike where you get a push start with your feet, the difference is now a motor kicks in and you work on keeping your balance. A really fun upgrade from a balance bike.

By Jodie:

Assembly was pretty easy and standard. Comes with a great Multi Tool included to help you tighten everything down. Seat adjustment was not explained very well in the instruction manual, but easy enough to figure out as its a pretty standard seat adjuster. I let it charge overnight and we tried it out the next day. Worked great.

ONLY concern I had was if you pressed the trigger to go, it will not move. At first I thought I had a defective unit, but after reading other reviews I see it’s the way it operates. I wish the manual stated this so you wouldn’t have to worry thinking your bike is not working. You have to kind of give it a push off and moving just a bit and then press the trigger for it to go.. Maybe this is a safety feature so it doesn’t take off accidentally when you push the trigger. Again, I think the manual needs to clearly state that.

Other than that, this bike does well. Goes pretty fast on high, and will travel on the driveway, road and grass surprisingly well. I really figured it would slow down on the grass, but nope it kept going strong. Hope it lasts a while!

  1. This guide is incredibly insightful, providing parents with valuable information when considering their child’s first e-bike. The Hover 1 stands out as a promising option, offering a blend of safety features and user-friendly design ideal for young riders. However, I find myself wondering about the long-term durability of the Hover 1, especially considering concerns raised by some users about the charging port’s susceptibility to dirt and moisture. Are there any maintenance tips or precautions parents should take to ensure the longevity of the e-bike and minimize potential issues? It would be beneficial to know how to address common maintenance tasks and keep the Hover 1 in top condition for safe and enjoyable rides.

    1. Hi! Friend, Appreciated a lot for your visit and comments.

Your questions are valid before decide to buy an e-bike. I believe you can get a satisfactory answer from the seller. There are many scooters and e-bikes with a charge plug point at the bottom of the frame. So far, I have not seen the complaint of plug point, causing the failure of charging the battery. The sharing of this buyer’s concern is not to make you worry, but to remind you asking the concern to the seller.

The Hover 1 warranty is 90 days. HAPPYRUN PULSE 7 offers a one-year warranty on the motor, battery, and main components, which might be a better fit if you’re looking for longer coverage. Generally, most e-bike warranties cover defects in materials or workmanship, not wear and tear.

Let me know if my answers were helpful! I’m happy to clarify anything that’s still unclear.

  2. Hello,

I had no idea there were electric bikes designed specifically for kids aged 5 to 8!

This Hover 1 e-bike sounds like a fantastic option, especially considering that many kids in my village learned to ride quads the hard way. With safety features like a weaker motor and rear disc brakes, it seems like a much safer choice for young riders to learn and gain confidence.

    Thanks for sharing!
