Introduction:
Let the best ANIIOKI AQ177 take the challenge while you focus on the ride effortlessly. The summit offers stunning views of the Sierra Nevada Mountains below.
This versatile trail is a popular spot for hikers, mountain bikers, and runners. While it may become crowded, you’ll find more space during off-peak hours. The ideal time to visit is between June and October. The trail follows an old road and is relatively easy, but the elevation will get you, especially if you haven’t adjusted to higher altitudes.
ANIIOKI AQ177 conquers steep inclines, motorized fat tires flatten rocky road, and largest battery capacity lets you reach White Mountain Peak top effortlessly. While hikers struggle with the high elevation, AQ177 let you can enjoy breathtaking views without the strain. Unlike hikers burdened by the extra weight of water, the AQ177 carries as much as you need.
A Challenging Cycling Route Up the White Mountain Peak:
Do not underestimate this route, you are at high altitudes, facing shady rock that slides when tire hits it, and the rock is super sharp to cause a flat tire. This cycling route consists of rolling hills up and down with a total of 11667 feet up and 1604 feet down.
You should be mindful of the weather. There is no shelter at the top and things can get nasty. A quality GPS watch has a storm alarm can be helpful so it’s time to ride back. If it looks shitty at the mountain peak, do not proceed.
The trailhead lies 3-4 hours from Bishop, accessed by a 29-mile dirt road demanding careful driving to prevent tire punctures. You’ll find it at the locked gate leading to the Barcroft research center. The trail itself is straightforward, consisting mainly of well-worn maintenance roads, free from technical challenges. The restroom at the trailhead was very clean and available.
You’ll need to walk your bike at Barcroft Station and wear slip-resistant hiking shoes for comfort and safety. Take a break, enjoy lunch at the campground, and prepare for the challenging 7-mile climb ahead.
Bishop, California – A small town with a big backyard:
Nestled between the Sierra Nevada to the west and the White Mountains to the east, Bishop is the largest town in the Owens Valley. Bishop, California is the small town with the big backyard, and there are many fun things to do in Bishop for outdoor enthusiasts and nature lovers.
Bishop’s strategic location, surrounded by breathtaking landscapes and a variety of outdoor activities, makes it an excellent starting point for a challenging cycling to White Mountain Peak. Nestled at 4,100 feet, it offers a stunning contrast to the towering 14,000-foot peaks just miles away.
Its proximity to the mountain, coupled with a thriving outdoor community and ample amenities, provides cyclists with an ideal base camp to prepare for and recover from this epic adventure.
Adventure Trip to White Mountain Peak – Can ANIIOKI AQ177 take the challenge?
Trail’s road condition – Can slow speed eliminates a flat tire caused by the sharp rocks?
There’s no single “safe” speed to eliminate flat tires entirely on a trail with sharp rocks. However, reducing your speed can definitely help mitigate the risk. Here’s why:
- At higher speeds, hitting a sharp rock can cause a greater impact, increasing the chance of it puncturing the tire. Slower speeds lessen the impact, giving the tire a better chance of deflecting or rolling over the rock gently.
- Lower speeds give you more time to react to obstacles on the trail, allowing you to avoid sharp rocks altogether or maneuver around them more carefully.
- When traveling slower, your tires have more time to conform to the terrain. This allows them to potentially roll over some sharp rocks instead of getting punctured.
Recommend by one of the visitors – The trick is to drive EXTREMELY slow (3-15 mph). Try to avoid the sharp rocks (you won’t always be able to because sometimes it’s nothing but sharp rocks).
Trail’s road condition – Can ANIIOKI AQ177 AWD E-bike overcomes loss control caused by the sharp rocks?
Absolutely, AWD e-bikes would be a much better choice for riders tackling a trail with a very rough condition leading to the White Mountain Peak Top. Here’s why:
- The dual motors in an AWD e-bike provide power to both the front and the rear wheels, significantly enhancing traction on loose surfaces like gravel, dirt, and mud. The motorized fat tires of ANIIOKI AQ177 are crucial on a sharp rocky trail leading to the White Mountain Peak, as it helps prevent slipping and loss of control.
- AWD e-bikes excel on inclines, especially those with loose or uneven terrain. The extra power from both motors helps you climb with greater ease and reduces the risk of getting stuck or losing momentum.
- The electric assist on AWD e-bikes takes the brunt of the work on challenging terrain, minimizing rider fatigue. This allows you to arrive at the trailhead with more energy for the actual ride.
- Yes, even with 4″ wide tires, the front tire (assuming it’s not motorized) can face a slipping risk on a road surface with sharp rocks.
How to deal with high elevation going up 14000 feet during the adventure trip?
Be Altitude Aware: Staying Hydrated for a Smooth Ride:
Conquer your cycling adventure without altitude sickness! This condition strikes after spending just four hours above 2,000 meters (6,562 ft), and worsens at higher climbs, causing headaches, nausea, and more.
Here’s why staying hydrated is key:
- Thin Air, Dry Conditions – High altitudes are cold and dry, accelerating sweat evaporation. You’ll also breathe faster, losing more fluids.
- Hydration for Acclimatization – Dehydration hinders your body’s ability to adjust to the altitude (acclimatization).
The Solution: Conquer high altitudes without dehydration!
Conquer high altitudes without dehydration! The key is to pre-hydrate in the days and hours leading up to your trip. Don’t wait until you’re thirsty – make water your constant companion, whether traveling by vehicles or hiking to the trailhead. This proactive approach ensures your body is well-hydrated before the challenges of high elevation begin.
Bonus Tip:
Avoid overexertion, alcohol, and depressant drugs, as they can also slow down acclimatization.
A study of climbers on Mount Everest found that antioxidant supplementation was effective in reducing the incidence of Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS) and improving the physiological profile of mountaineers.
The best sources of antioxidants are fruits and vegetables, which we will feed you on the mountain. But taking vitamins such as Vitamin C and Vitamin E in pill form will supply your body with a high dose of antioxidants, in a quick, cheap and convenient way.
If you begin to show symptoms of moderate altitude illness, don’t go higher until symptoms decrease.

ANIIOKI AQ177 AWD E-bike is safe to White Mountain Peak Ride:
Main Features ANIIOKI AQ177 components help to conquer White Mountain Peak adventure:
AQ177’s Front 750W motor and Rear 1000W motor:
An AWD e-bike offers significant advantages when dealing with a very rough trail with sharp rocks leading to the main riding area. It provides superior traction, climbing ability, stability, and reduces rider fatigue – all crucial factors for a safe and enjoyable adventure.
The motorized fat tires of ANIIOKI AQ177 are crucial on a sharp rocky trail leading to the White Mountain Peak, as it helps prevent slipping and loss of control.
AQ177’s 3120Wh battery supports 100-110 miles of full electric driving:
Conserve Energy for Challenging Ascents – The powerful battery allows you to utilize electric assist on climbs, saving your energy for the most challenging sections of the trail. This translates to a more enjoyable and less strenuous ride, especially at high altitudes.
Potential for Increased Mileage – Depending on your riding style and terrain variations, the extended range might even enable you to explore further after reaching the peak or complete the return trip to Bishop with minimal charging.
AQ177’s 20″x 4″ Fat Tires with double-layered hub greatly reduce the risk of flat tires:
Wide Tires Offer Advantages, But Not Complete Protection:
- Wider tires provide a larger contact area with the ground, which can improve traction on some surfaces. This can be helpful on loose dirt or gravel, where a wider tire can “dig in” for better grip.
- Wider tires offer better shock absorption, making the ride more comfortable on rough terrain, including sharp rocks.
However, Sharp Rocks Pose Challenges:
- Limited Deformation – While wider tires offer more contact area, the rubber itself can’t deform infinitely. Sharp rocks can still puncture the tire or find gaps between the tread blocks, causing a loss of grip.
- Tire Composition: The type of rubber used in the tire tread also plays a role. Softer rubber compounds offer better grip but are more prone to punctures.
Solution:
- Motorized front tires.
- Wider tires with double-layered to enhance grip and traction as well as greatly reduce risk of flat tires.
AQ177’s 4-Piston Hydraulic Disc Brakes, Front (203mm) / Rear (180mm):
White Mountain Peak likely involves some significant descents. 4-piston brakes provide exceptional stopping power compared to mechanical disc brakes or even double-piston hydraulic brakes. This allows for confident and controlled descents, especially on potentially loose or rough terrain.
Overall, 4-piston hydraulic disc brakes are a significant safety and performance upgrade for riders taking on the demanding Bishop to White Mountain Peak adventure trip. They provide superior stopping power, control, and all-weather reliability, making the ride safer, more enjoyable, and less demanding.
Other AQ177’s components that can benefit you:
- Turn signals clearly show your intention to turn or change lanes, avoiding confusion and potential collisions with others, especially the approaching vehicles. Turn signals can also alert other riders or hikers of your presence, promoting safer interactions on the trail.
- Integrated headlight and brake tail light keep you visible to the approaching vehicles or when you are riding in the dark.
- Full fenders help to keep you clean splashing water, mud, dirt, or debris when you need to ride in all weather conditions.
- SHIMANO 7-speed can provide a low enough gear for climbing hills, as well as a high enough gear for cruising on flat roads.
- 52V LED headlights are good for night riding because it can provide a wider beam of light, which is important for seeing well in low-light conditions.
- Half twist throttle offers a balance between control and usability, making half twist throttle a better option for many riders.

By Thomas 12 March 2024:
I bought the AQ 177 Pro Max in February 2024. Easy to put together. Fit and finish was perfect. Have ridden 47 miles so far on the first charge and only down 1 bar out of five. I live in Florida so no hills. But I do weigh 240 lbs, soft, comfortable ride. Great acceleration. The company also threw a nice large sturdy rear basket. Best e-bike I have owned so far and this is my fourth. I highly recommend this bike to anyone who is tired of range anxiety.
By Jacob 5 October 2023:
I absolutely love my Aniioki. I have gone all over town for hours and never ran out of battery. This is the perfect E-bike to take you anywhere you need to go. The rear rack is perfect to carry everything you need for your travels.
By David 2 August 2023:
This is the best e-bike I’ve ever ridden. I have had several, nothing with the battery range and no power drop after a few miles like other bikes. Suspension is good, the smoothest ride I ever had. The waterproof rating is excellent, no worries if you get caught in the rain. Very well built. I am definitely sticking with this brand. Five stars for their customer service also. They always respond in a timely manner. They go above and beyond to stand behind their product.

What an absolutely brilliant review, its that good I have kept a copy because this is the one I would buy having seen this. The price, is nearly a 1/3rd less, the range is 3-4 times greater, turn signals as well as standard lights, the only very slight negative is the extra weight of approx. 30 lbs, but hopefully there would be no need for this to come into play, but you can always move the battery separately, right?
The piston hydraulic brakes, are they manually operated or do they have some form of power assist?
Hi! Robby, Thanks for your kind comments, appreciated your time and effort to write me some feedback.
Both motor added up has 200 Nm torque, can boost up the speed from the stoppage in second, the weight added up is not a burden to the rider. Hydraulic brakes are responsive with hydraulic fluid, rider can easily adjust brake using two fingers.
