The overall ratings of TURBOANT RANGER R1 Electric City Bike:
Reviewed by the TURBOANT certified buyer, Erwin on 20 January 2022 – The overall ratings are 3.0 out of 5.0:
I received this bike and tried to put it together. The frame and wheel did not fit and it was bent. So I had to return it. I’ll say that the return process was actually quite simple so that’s why I’ll give 3 stars. I’ve since decided that I want a regular bike and not an electric one.
Remarks of this buyer’s review:
- TURBOANT is a company of confidence to accept the return because of its quality problem, most probably during transport.
- TURBOANT might have the local warehouse or rented another warehouse to accept the return e-bike.
Reviewed by the TURBOANT certified buyer, John on 29 December 2021 – The overall ratings are 5.0 out of 5.0:
The TURBOANT is an excellent electric bike for the money. There are only 2 things I am going to change. First, the seat I need a wider seat. Second, the handlebars need to be higher so I don’t have to lean forward. Other than that I love it.
Reviewed by the TURBOANT certified buyer, David on 5 January 2022 – The overall ratings are 4.0 out of 5.0:
Took a chance on a company I had never heard of (TurboAnt) and so far have been happy with the Ranger model purchased as a Christmas present for my son.
The only minor issue I had was a squeaky front wheel that was ultimately resolved with the application of a little grease behind the bearing dust cover.
I own one other bike from a large, well known brand, but the Ranger surprisingly held its own even with the smaller motor/tires.
Reviewed by the TURBOANT certified buyer, Chandru on 3 January 2022 – The overall ratings are 4.0 out of 5.0:
It is a good bike! It has no suspension so definitely can’t take a bump! Need to change the grip and wear padded gloves to avoid shocks. Seat needs padding as well.
But in high assist mode, you climb any hill like a flat land! Throttle can help when you are tired or just want to sail. Low noise from the motor is good too! The front light is ok, but you can add your own for a more powerful way guide at night. The brake light is a good add on that I like. I’m 5’11 and I can ride comfortably on it.

Wow, I think Electric bikes are great. Electric Bikes shine the most when cycling uphill, for cycling around the city or town, you can just pedal. Unfortunately Electric Bikes are banned in some countries, like in Japan. Japan does have power assist bikes though, but I wish I could get one.
Great article, and Thank you for sharing.
Hi! Friend, Thanks for your feedback.
It is nice to hear that you want to get an electric bike for a trial. I believed you will like it. It is true some countries are not ready for electric bikes. Sooner or later I will all countries will open for electric bikes.
I thought Japan had many electric bikes, especially Yamaha e-bike, SHIMANO Groupsets originates from Japan. I hope it is not because of the political issues. Our earth is struggling to help, go green is the only way to save the earth. Japan has the most advanced technology to save the earth.
Let hope for the best in 2022. Thanks for giving a hand to save our earth for a better
Those bikes are still considered Motorcycles as you need a license to drive them here. Even electric scooters are banned here. Hopefully that changes in the future.

Those bikes are still considered Motorcycles as you need a license to drive them here. Even electric scooters are banned here. As for the Power Assist Bikes, I wouldn’t consider them electric as you still have to pedal most of the time. Hopefully that changes in the future.

Hi! Friend,
Most likely in the future, all electric bikes will need a registration and permit to ride on the road. Without registration and inspection, it is hard to enforce the regulation in the country. The quantity of electric bikes keeps increasing, one day it will lose control. Poor quality e-bikes may end up a disposal issue for a country. Theft issue also became serious in some Europe countries.
A motorcycle or scooter must be using throttle only without the pedal. E-bikes can have both types of drive train with pedals. A motorcycle needs some additional features to get registered and permit from the local regulation.
