Sorry for the funny review title, but this bike gets a full 10 out of 10. Had the CGO800 for 2 months now while it still surprises me every day. The ride as well as the build quality and the joy to commute to work every day is not enough that I often now bike 30 to 60 km on weekends now.

Thanks for this review of the Tenways cgo800s ebike model. I’m looking for something that would be a good suburban option that is mostly used on streets without defined bike lanes. Since the ride would be on roads shared with cars, the safety features are extremely important. I like a lot of what I see here but am concerned about the “cons” where it might be underpowered on hills or not fast enough to maneuver in emergencies. Thanks for pointing those out.

CGO800S has great safety features to keep you safe on the road. It is single speed so you can focus on pedaling and not gear change. You can activate the turn sign before taking any turn. The wider tires give you the best balancing on the road, while hydraulic disc brake gives you the best stopping power whenever you need.
Once you increase the affordable of the pedaling, motor torque goes up from 35Nm to 75Nm, so you will not lack of power to climb any hills. Since it is a single speed e-bike, everything will be taken care of motor assist. You will surprise how well the MIVICE motor will let you drive smoothly up the slope. Speed is limited by the local law, not the e-bike. In fact 20mph is really a good max speed for you to ride in the city street.
